No matter where in the world you are, you can make a major difference in someone’s life.
Single or monthly donations
You will find it hard to believe, but only 50 euros a month can support a family’s basic need for food, school supplies, clothes, and access to medicine and education, allowing children to grow safely at home, with their family, instead of in an institution or in extreme poverty.
You can also choose to support a specific need of a family, such as children’s school expenses or nursery fees. Such investment would help make sure that parents aren’t forced to stay at home to supervise their children, but, instead, they can go to work, generate an income and build self-sufficiency.
Fundraising
Another great way to help is by organizing fundraisers for The Moldova Project. Here are some ideas:
- Choose to raise funds in lieu of birthday presents.
- Fundraising at your place of work. We can help with a charity box and promotional materials.
- Organize a fundraising event. We’d be happy to help in any way you need.
- Set up a fundraising page through Virgin Money Giving and spread the word about us.
Volunteering
We have really great volunteering opportunities!
We work with more than 100 children at a time during our Summer and Winter Projects, and, as you can imagine, they can be quite a handful. That’s when we need our dedicated volunteers the most, and, that’s when our volunteers have the most fun, too!
We also need help during the Building Project, when we fix our beneficiaries’ homes. Although the project is definitely hard work, it is also the most rewarding and one of the main reasons why many of our volunteers return back in the subsequent years.
